Semi-Truck Overturns in Crash on Aerospace Highway
ROSAMOND, Calif. (August 3, 2023) — A semi-truck and car collided Thursday afternoon on Highway 14 in Rosamond, just north of West Avenue A.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of State Route 14 around 11:54 a.m. on August 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in an unknown vehicle allegedly clipped the semi-truck, causing it to rear-end a sedan and both vehicles veer off the highway and crash through a Caltrans fence on the frontage road. The semi-truck, loaded with 80,000 pounds of cargo, also overturned onto its side. Its cab was in the dirt when it came to a stop. There was another vehicle facing the wrong way in the center divide.
Paramedics with the Kern County Fire Department responded to assist those injured in the traffic accident in an area just north of Lancaster.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles. The 4-door sedan had major rear-end damage from the collision.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the truck accident on Highway 14 in Rosamond.
