2 Minor Injury Crashes; Hit-and-run Driver Sought
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 29, 2024) — At least two people were injured in a Rosedale crash on Stockdale Highway 58 near Plumwood Street, just west of Bakersfield.
There were a total of two separate collisions that occurred at around 6:27 a.m. on Feb. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
The first involved a driver in a blue truck that collided with another motorist in a gray, 4-door Toyota sedan. The truck driver fled the scene without stopping to exchange information. The car had major damage and the truck had major front-end damage from the accident, but there is no other information.
Also, the driver in the car was ejected in the crash and suffered a head injury, but police say the person was “coherent and talking.” Paramedics transported the person to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, there was a second collision involving the drivers of a silver SUV and a brown SUV that resulted in minor injuries including a hand injury and complaints of chest pain.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Stockdale Highway 58 in Rosedale.
