LA PALMA, California (February 5, 2017) – A fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of La Palma Avenue and Walker Street early Saturday morning, according to The Orange County Register.
The accident involving two vehicles took place at 2:41 a.m.
As per the article, two people were killed following the crash. The coroner’s office identified the victims as 47-year-old Rosemarie Medallo and 81-year-old Bernardina Lee. Both were Lakewood residents.
Lee was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana while Medallo was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. The two women succumbed to their injuries at the hospitals.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
