Willie Dies after Car Collides with Tanker Truck
ROSEMEAD, California (June 27, 2016) – A 60-year-old Rosemead woman killed in a crash involving a tanker truck at San Gabriel Boulevard and Potrero Grande Drive Monday has been identified as Elpidia Willie, according to San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
The crash was reported just after 5 p.m.
As per the article, coroner’s office said Willie was driving a Hyundai north on San Gabriel Boulevard when she was broadsided by the truck headed east on Potrero Grande Drive.
The Hyundai then ended up wrapped around a light pole. Willie was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, deputies said the tanker truck went through the intersection at the time of the deadly wreck.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
