ROSEMEAD: Fatal Traffic Collision at Highway 60 and San Gabriel
ROSEMEAD, LOS ANGELES COUNTY (March 30, 2016) – At least one person was killed following a big rig accident at Highway 60 and San Gabriel Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The incident happened at around 4:14 p.m.
Preliminary record stated that authorities responded to an emergency call requesting for aid right under the overpass.
Upon arrival at the scene, they have located two rigs and three sedans involved in a wreck. The CHP log also mentioned a motorcycle at the site but the authorities have not yet provided a final statement on this matter of involvement.
The force from the collision claimed the life of at least one person as noted in the CHP description of the report.
The identity of the fatality remained private until family and friends have been respectively notified.
A possible injury was further logged by the CHP team, relaying that the driver of a rig was complaining of pain and needed medical attention.
The cause of the deadly crash remained under investigation. Authorities handling the case continue to gather more evidences before pronouncing closure and citations.
