ROSEVILLE, California (February 13, 2017) — Five were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Baseline and Fiddyment roads Monday afternoon, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The accident was reported at 2:57 p.m.
As per the article, Roseville Police Department said a woman driving a large RV was involved in a minor injury traffic incident near Cirby Way and Vernon Street and then fled the scene. The female motorist sped away and was chased by a Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy to Baseline and Fiddyment roads where she struck several other vehicles in the intersection.
The RV caught fire following the crash.
Police affirmed that a total of five people, including the RV driver, were transported to hospitals for treatment. Three of them suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate degree. The names of the involved parties were not immediately disclosed.
The investigation is ongoing.
