ROSEVILLE, California (December 11, 2016) – According to California Highway Patrol dispatch team, a major injury collision took place on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway Sunday night.
The accident involving possibly three vehicles occurred about 9:35 p.m., just east of Douglas Boulevard.
As per the report log, Roseville Fire Department personnel along with the paramedics responded and attended to at least one person who was confirmed to have been seriously hurt following the crash. The victim was then taken to the hospital for further medical aid.
The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, CHP indicated a tow-truck was requested for a gray 2002 Mazda 626 2-door involved in the wreck. One of the vehicles was abandoned as two female parties were seen running away from the scene.
It was not specified in the dispatch if the collision was a hit-and-run. Authorities will continue to investigate.
