Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle at J Street and Tulare Avenue
Tulare, CA (June 12, 2022) – Ruben Torres died following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of J Street and Tulare Avenue.
The ABC News reported a vehicle struck a man in a wheelchair at the intersection in Tulare. Preliminary investigation revealed 62-year-old Torres attempted to cross the roadway and was hit by a passing car. The horrible crash took place Monday evening.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Tulare
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the victim lying on the ground. According to the article published online, paramedics transported Ruben Torres to the hospital where he later sadly died.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the motorist failed to pull over and sped away after the collision. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the fatal hit-and-run crash at J Street and Tulare Avenue.
