Russel Ambrose Killed in Collision at Fairview and Harvard Roads
NEWBERRY SPRINGS, Calif. (April 26, 2020) — Russel Ambrose, 58, of Newberry Springs, died Saturday in a collision between a Polaris Ranger and a Jeep Wrangler at Fairview Road and Harvard Road in Newberry Springs.
The car accident took place about 10:47 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2020, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The Jeep Wrangler was traveling eastbound on Fairview Road when it struck a Polaris Ranger that had been traveling southbound on Harvard Road.
Russel Ambrose, and the driver of the Jeep, were both airlifted to St. Mary Medical Center due to major injuries. Russel Ambrose later died at the hospital t 12:56 p.m., the report said.
Virginio Ponce, 47, of Newberry Springs, was the front seat -passenger in the Polaris and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Barstow office of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
