Ryan Lima Jr. and Robert Fletcher Badly Injured in Car Accident at Beckwith and Dakota

January 3, 2019 – Two men were severely injured in a traffic collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of Beckwith Road and North Dakota Avenue.

According to the Modesto Bee, a Chevrolet Suburban broadsided for an unknown reason a tractor-trailer rig at the crossing around 3:50 a.m. The impact caused the Chevrolet to be pinned underneath the trailer, officials said.
Shortly after the incident, authorities identified the Chevy driver as 25-year-old Robert Fletcher, of Modesto, and the passenger as 20-year-old Ryan Lima Jr., of Salida.
Medical teams reportedly transported Fletcher to Doctors Medical Center, while Lima Jr. was taken to Memorial Medical Center. Both parties appeared to have suffered major injuries as a result of the crash, but their conditions at this time remained unclear.
Meanwhile, the operator of the truck involved was apparently unharmed in the wreck.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the collision happened.
