Ryan Golden, 35, Killed in Poway Crash on Highway 67
POWAY, Calif. (Dec. 31, 2018) – Ryan Moon Golden, 35, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in the 15500 block of state Route 67 near Poway, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The incident took place about 11 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23rd near Cloudy Moon Drive.
Police were told by witnesses that Golden was walking in the middle lanes of northbound state Route 67 prior to being hit by a Buick sedan. Upon impact, Golden was thrown into the southbound lanes of the freeway. He was then struck by roughly four other vehicles and dragged around 50 yards, the report said.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Golden and stated that he died of blunt force trauma.

At this time, it’s unknown why the man who died was in the roadway. Police are investigating the circumstances and will determine liability.
