Fatal Head-On Collision Near Red Bluff Walmart Distribution Center Wednesday
Red Bluff, CA (March 2, 2022) – Ryan Myerssias, a 25-year-old man from Gerber, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99.
The KRCRTV News reported a Myerssias was driving a passenger vehicle heading north on SR-99 Wednesday afternoon. According to the article published online, Myerssias collided head-on into a semi truck traveling west on the highway. Officials said they continue to investigate which driver crossed the divider line, and triggered the catastrophic incident.
Shortly after 12:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. They found Myerssias with serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the driver sadly succumebd to his injuries and died.
Authorities identified the truck operator as 56-year-old Charles Williams, of Ramona. The condition of Williams after the incident have not been revealed thus far.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate event in Red Bluff.
