2-Vehicle Collision at Soquel San Jose and Hilltop Road
Soquel, CA (March 3, 2023) – Rylee Hollensbe, a 28-year-old woman, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of Soquel San Jose Road and Hilltop Road.
According to KSBW News, Hollensbe was a passenger in a 1997 Toyota traveling in the streets of Soquel on March 3, Friday. Earlier reports indicated the Toyota driver veered into the opposite side of the road as it approached the intersection at Soquel San Jose Road and Hilltop. Officials said the southbound Toyota collided with a northbound 1995 driven by a 56-year-old man from Soquel.
The force from the impact caused the Toyota to careen off the traffic lanes. Our sources indicated the car came to a rest after slamming into a tree.
Shortly after 8:19 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Responding paramedics immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the crash. After the evaluation, medical personnel decided to call an air ambulance to transfer the injured passenger to Valley Medical Center. The article published online mentioned the woman, Rylee Hollensbe, received treatment for major injuries sustained in the collision.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Car Accident in Soquel
Investigators later determine the driver of the Toyota was intoxicated at the time of the accident. For this reason, police arrested the suspect on DUI felony, and possession of two firearms.
At this time, detectives continue to gather information surrounding the crash that happened at Soquel San Jose Road and Hilltop Road.
