4 Injured in Sacramento Ambulance Crash on Auburn Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (August 13, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after an ambulance crash on Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento.

According to The Sacramento Bee and FOX 40 News, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck on August 12 at around 11:45 p.m.

Sacramento police said the ambulance and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in the Del Paso Park neighborhood of the city. The ambulance was transporting a patient at the time.

The two crashed in the 4200 block of Auburn Boulevard near the on-ramp to the Capital City Freeway and the Interstate 80.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found a total of four people hurt. They described the victims as two ENT’s, the ambulance patient and the other driver.

Two of them sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon rushed all four individuals to the hospital for treatment.

The reports did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Auburn Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.

The cause of the Sacramento ambulance crash is still under investigation.
