Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash at Franklin and Turnbridge
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 1, 2023) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash at Franklin Boulevard and Turnbridge Drive in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Friday afternoon, March 31. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 12:54 p.m.
The incident happened when a black sedan collided with the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in the city of Sacramento. The two crashed at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Turnbridge Drive.
Bicyclist Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist down on the ground. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the cyclist to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the car stopped and pulled over following the collision. Officers forced the area of Franklin and Turnbridge to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Sacramento bicycle crash is still under investigation.
