Sacramento: Bicycle Accident at Highway 50 and X Street

Sacramento, CA (April 20, 2023) – A traffic accident occurred in the area of State Route Highway 50 and X Street onramp afternoon of Thursday, April 20.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck an person riding a bike in the eastbound side of SR-50 near the X Street onramp. CHP logged the case around 3:53 p.m.

Major Injury Crash in South Sacramento

Emergency crews later arrived at the scene and immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved. After the evaluation, authorities mentioned the cyclist suffered possible major injuries due to the force from the impact. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, the make and model of the car that hit the bicyclist have not been revealed thus far.

Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the traffic crash happened at State Route Highway 50 and X Street onramp in South Sacramento.
