SACRAMENTO, California (June 1, 2015) — Two drivers collided Monday morning in a crash at the intersection of Gerber and Elk Grove Florin roads, just a block away from the Sacramento Metro Fire District Station 50 according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 11:27 a.m., CHP officers say the drivers of a white Toyota Corolla and a blue sedan collided and were blocking the turn lane onto Gerber Road. One of the vehicles caught on fire after the crash and a woman was stuck inside it. A cement truck may have also been involved in the crash with the white car, the report said.
Police and firefighters responded with paramedics to the scene of the accident to help those involved.
At least one person was treated for injuries and may have been taken to a local hospital.
