1 Injured After Police Chase Ends in Crash at Big Horn and Laguna
SACRAMENTO (August 22, 2017) – A female driver was rushed to a hospital after a police-chased car crashed into her vehicle at Big Horn and Laguna boulevards Sunday morning, according to CBS Sacramento.
Officials said the incident began just after 9:15 a.m. on the Interstate 5 Freeway. A Sacramento Police Officer reportedly spotted a red Honda Civic with plates that came up stolen from Meadow Vista.
Subsequently, the officers tried to pull over the Civic but the driver failed to yield. A pursuit then ensued for about 12 minutes long, reaching speeds of up to 110 mph.

As per the article, the chase ended when the Civic slammed into a bystander vehicle at the intersection. The impact totaled both cars, and forced the Civic to crash into a Sacramento shopping center.
When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they immediately attended to the female driver of the bystander vehicle. The victim was reportedly taken to a hospital in unknown condition. The identity of the patient remains unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, authorities affirmed the suspect driving the allegedly stolen Honda was arrested shortly after the incident.
