2-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 50 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2024) — A Sacramento car accident happened Friday afternoon on Highway 50, just east of Stockton Boulevard.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound El Dorado Freeway (Hwy 50) about 2:06 p.m. on Feb. 9th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a dark gray Toyota Prius and a black Ford Escape sedan were involved in the collision, but it’s unknown what caused it. The vehicles were blocking the two left lanes of the highway.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. At least one person had minor injuries, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital or not.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
