3-Vehicle Sacramento Crash on I-5 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2021) — A Sacramento car accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway Wednesday morning resulted in injuries to at least one person.
The crash happened about 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 1st near the Arena Boulevard off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 Freeway
The CHP reported a black Nissan Maxima, a gold Sienna van and a Toyota SUV collided due to unknown circumstances.
The vehicles blocked the No. 1 lane of the freeway. Meanwhile, paramedics responded and located a man trapped in the black Nissan. The man suffered a head injury and firefighters responded and managed to get the stuck door opened.
They transported the injured man to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, two of the vehicles were towed due to damage after the Sacramento car accident on the Interstate 5.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
