Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway in El Camino
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Sacramento car accident happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of West El Camino Avenue.
The collision occurred at around 11 a.m. on Nov. 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a purple Dodge Charger was allegedly driving reckless prior to a collision with a gray 2014 Toyota Prius, and possibly a third vehicle. The Toyota reportedly spun out after the collision in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, at least one vehicle required a tow truck to remove it from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on the 5 Freeway in Sacramento.
