Two Vehicles Crash Off I-80 Freeway into Ravine

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 3, 2022) — A Sacramento car accident on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway happened Friday morning near the Norwood Avenue off ramp.

The collision occurred about 7:25 a.m. on June 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Nissan work van and a red Audi sedan reportedly collided. Both of the vehicles went off the freeway and down a ditch into a ravine on the side of the roadway.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Sacramento car accident.
