At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Car Crash on Capital City Freeway Friday
Sacramento, CA (April 23, 2021) – A car accident that occurred on State Route 51, also known as Capital City Freeway, resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Our sources indicated a silver sedan traveling north on SR-51 veered off the traffic lanes for an unknown reason. Per CHP log, the car slammed into the center divider in the area near El Camino Avenue offramp.
The force from the impact caused the sedan to careen across the freeway in North Sacramento.
Major Injury Car Accident in Sacramento, April 23
Shortly after 2:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site and rendered aid to all possible victims. The CHP dispatch confirmed one person suffered major injuries as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation, the name of the injured party remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the collision have not been revealed thus far. At the moment, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate whether another driver played a role in the crash.
