At Least 1 Injured in Collision at 14th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
Sacramento, CA (August 25, 2022) – A traffic crash that occurred in the area of 14th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard resulted in injuries.
According to CBS News, a sedan collided with an ambulance at the intersection in the Oak Park neighborhood. The accident took place early Thursday morning.
Earlier reports indicated the force from the impact left the ambulance flipped on its side. On the other hand, the sedan sustained major front-end damage.
Shortly after 2 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders found at least one occupant in the sedan suffering in injuries. Paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, then transported them to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the two medical personnel inside the ambulance both appeared unharmed after the crash.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the collision happened on 14th Avenue in Sacramento.
