Major Injury Collision on SR-99 at Fruitridge Road Sunday
Sacramento, CA (April 25, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a motorcycle rider and a pedestrian occurred early Sunday in the area of State Route 99 and Fruitridge Road, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Officials said the motorcyclist collided for an unknown reason with a white SUV at the Sacramento junction. The CHP logged the incident at approximately 12:20 a.m.

When emergency teams arrived at the accident scene, they discovered a pedestrian involved in the wreck. It remained unclear whether the motorists involved in the crash struck the individual, or the rider was ejected from their motorbike.
Responding medical personnel checked the conditions of all people found at the crash site. According to source, at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Police continue to withhold the name of the victim pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident on State Route 99.
