2 Injured in Sacramento Car and Truck Crash on Winters Street Thursday
SACRAMENTO (March 28, 2019) – Two were hospitalized after a traffic collision along Winters Street in the East Del Paso Heights neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 3:45 p.m. near North Avenue, northwest of the Hagen Oaks Golf Complex.
According to reports by KCRA and FOX 40 News, a pickup truck and a Sacramento Regional Transit work truck collided head-on in the 4000 block of Winters Street.
Sacramento Fire Department said the work truck was then forced into another car after it was hit by the pickup. An occupant in one of the vehicles was found pinned and later extricated from the wreckage.

Firefighters and the paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical treatment to two people who were injured as a result of the crash.
One patient was immediately transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition. The other party, an employee who was in the truck at the time, sustained injuries considered as non-life-threatening.
The names and condition of the wounded victims were not disclosed. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
