Major Injury Collision on Capital City Freeway Sunday
Sacramento, CA (May 30, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car crash on State Route 51, also known as Capital City Freeway, Sunday evening.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a passenger vehicle collided with a gas tanker in the southbound side of the highway. Initial records indicated the accident happened near Marconi Avenue offramp in Sacramento.

Shortly after 11:15 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. First responders found three other passenger vehicles involved in the wreck. Officials mentioned the tanker did not leak fuel during the crash.
Medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the crash on State Route 51.
