1 Hospitalized After Collision on West Side Highway Thursday
Sacramento, CA (July 15, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a big rig occurred on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Highway, Thursday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a white Ford pickup truck collided with a truck in the southbound side of the freeway. Our sources indicated the crash took place at the Q Street offramp in South Sacramento.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics attended to all possible victims in the accident. According to the CHP log, at least one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. The accident dispatch mentioned the patient was taken to Mercy General Hospital for treatment.
Additional details on the car accident on West Side Highway remained unclear. Given that, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the collision.
