5 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Highway 50 at Watt Avenue Off-Ramp

SACRAMENTO, CA (March 19, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash on Highway 50 and Watt Avenue in Sacramento.

According to the CBS Sacramento and FOX 40 News, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6:30 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol said at least five vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Sacramento. They crashed on westbound Highway 50 at the Watt Avenue off-ramp.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel rushed three of them to the hospital and listed them in critical condition. The other two patients ended up released at the site.

The reports did not release the names of all the wounded parties. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound Highway 50 to shut down at Watt following the wreck.

The cause of the Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
