2 Injured in Sacramento Car Crash on Westbound Highway 50 Saturday
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 10, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash along Highway 50 in Sacramento.
According to the CBS Sacramento and KCRA News, the accident occurred on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 8:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a Prius ended up stopped behind a truck that stalled out in the No. 4 lane of westbound Highway 50 in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said an SUV approached, failed to stop in time and collided with the other vehicles. They crashed near Stockton Boulevard.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found a total of two people hurt as a result of the collision.
One patient sustained critical injuries while the other suffered moderate injuries upon impact. Medical personnel then rushed them to the hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release their names and condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced all lanes of westbound Highway 50 to shut down for more than half an hour following the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
