1 Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on Jackson Road Near Cemetery
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 26, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Jackson Road near a cemetery in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:23 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento. They crashed at 10221 Jackson Road near Camellia Memorial Lawn.
2 Cars Collide on Highway 16
The incident log described the cars involved as a beige sedan and a white pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Jackson Road, known as Highway 16, to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Sacramento crash.
