Multi-Vehicle Accident on West Side Freeway Sunday

Sacramento, CA (February 22, 2021) – A car crash that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Freeway, resulted in injuries Sunday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, multiple vehicles collided in the northbound side of I-5. The accident took place in the area near Sutterville Road offramp.

First responders found at the scene a black Volkswagen Jetta, a black Honda Civic, and a dark gray Ford Fusion. The make and model of the fourth automobile involved in the wreck remained unknown.

Shortly after 1:10 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Paramedics rendered aid to the possible victims. Following the evaluation, officials confirmed the collision resulted in major injuries. However, at the moment, the names of the injured parties and their age have not been revealed thus far.

Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surround the car crash on Interstate 5 in Sacramento.
