At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Interstate 80
Sacramento, CA (June 19, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Wednesday on Interstate 80 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided on I-80, also known as Capital City Freeway. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a 2002 Subaru, and a 2004 Kia. Preliminary investigation revealed the Subaru rear-ended the Kia in the northbound side of the freeway near the Elvas neighborhood.
Shortly after 8:35 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate that precise circumstances that led up to the crash on Interstate 80 in Sacramento.
