1 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Northbound State Route 51
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 27, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on State Route 51 in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento. They crashed on northbound State Route 51, just north of E Street.
2 Cars Collide Near E Street
The report described the cars involved as a silver Ford Explorer and a black Pontiac sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Medical personnel then found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of State Route 51 to close following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Sacramento crash.
