1 Injured in Sacramento Crash Near Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 15, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash near Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place early Sunday. Officers reported the accident at about 12:16 a.m.
According to CHP, the incident began when a black sedan ran a red light in Sacramento. Its driver then slammed into two other cars near the intersection of Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Cars
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 50. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the Sacramento crash.
