2 Injured in Sacramento County Crash Near Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (July 12, 2021) – At least two were injured in a car crash near Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident as a head-on collision on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 9 a.m.

According to CHP, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento County near Isleton. They crashed on eastbound Highway 12, just east of Jackson Slough Road.

Major Injuries Reported in Head-On Collision

The report log described the cars involved a white 2014 Dodge Dakota pickup, a gray 2001 Lexus IS300 and a silver 1991 Acura Legend.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found at least two people hurt as a result of the collision. CHP confirmed that one of them sustained major injuries upon impact.

Medical personnel then took the patients to hospitals for treatment. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 12 near Jackson Slough to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Sacramento County crash is still under investigation.
