Patrol Vehicle Hits, Kills Pedestrian Near Percheron Drive Thursday
Sacramento County, CA (October 31, 2021) – One person died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Franklin Boulevard on October 28.
The FOX40 News published an article online reporting a deputy with the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center was driving along a foggy stretch of Franklin Boulevard Thursday evening. In the area near Percheron Drive, the patrol vehicle struck an individual standing in the middle of the road.
Shortly after 11 p.m., emergency crews responded to the crash site. Fist responders found the pedestrian with serious injuries. Due to the condition of the victim, an ambulance rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital.

Our sources mentioned the patient sadly succumbed to their injuries and eventually died Friday afternoon. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold the identity of the deceased; pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Additional details on the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. Investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly pedestrian accident on Franklin Boulevard.
