Man Killed in Sacramento County Hit-and-Run Near Florin Road and French Road
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (November 6, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian on Florin Road and French Road in Sacramento County.
According to the CBS Sacramento and KCRA News, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the incident at around 3 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento County. The driver hit him on eastbound Florin Road, east of French Road.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man left lying on the ground. he sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Florin Road to shut down near French Road following the collision.
