3 Badly Injured in Sacramento County Crash on Jackson Road Near Latrobe
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 20, 2022) – A head-on crash badly injured several people on Jackson Road near Latrobe Road in Sacramento County.
According to the FOX 40 News and KCRA News, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 6:35 a.m.
The incident began when a Chevrolet Malibu was driving behind a school bus on Jackson Road near Latrobe Road in Sacramento County.
The California Highway Patrol said the Chevrolet crossed solid double-yellow lines in an attempt to pass the bus. In the process, the Malibu slammed head-on into a Chevy Spark.
School Bus, Multiple Cars Involved
The Malibu then struck the left front of the school bus and rolled over in a field. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found a total of three patients hurt.
The motorist in the Spark and the driver and passenger of the Malibu sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to the hospital for treatment.
CHP added that the operator of the bus and the person driving the Chevy Silverado that was hit by debris ended up unharmed. The Sacramento County crash is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Jackson Road to shut down following the wreck.
