CHP Reports Highway 50 Crash in Sacramento Area
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 16, 2021) — A Sacramento crash on Highway 50 resulted in minor injuries after multiple vehicles collided just west of 65th Street.
The collision happened about 2:10 p.m. on June 16th between two sedans, a black truck and two other motorists, the California Highway Patrol reports.
Firefighters Respond to Sacramento Collision on Hwy 50
Police called the Sacramento Fire Department to help at least one person with injuries. They transported the person by ambulance to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The report does not reveal the age and gender of the patient due to privacy laws.
Meanwhile, the vehicles were blocking several lanes of the freeway. A tow truck removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the Sacramento Highway 50 crash and liability, but this will be released in the police report.
