1 Killed, 2 Injured in Sacramento Crash at Elder Creek and Florin Perkins Roads

crash killed one person and injured two others at Elder Creek Road and Florin Perkins Road in south Sacramento.

According to The Sacramento Bee and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:42 a.m.

The Sacramento Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento on May 15. They crashed at the intersection of Florin Perkins and Elder Creek roads.

2 Cars Collide

Officials described the cars as a Ford sedan and a Toyota SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced a woman dead at the scene.

Two more people sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed them to the hospital for treatment.

The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Florin Perkins and Elder Creek roads to shut down for a time following the wreck.

The cause of the fatal Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
