1 Killed, 2 Injured in Sacramento Crash Near Power Inn and Fruitridge Roads
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 20, 2021) – A crash killed one person and injured two others near Power Inn and Fruitridge roads in Sacramento.
According to the ABC 10 News and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place late Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:30 a.m.
Sacramento police said a sedan collided with a tow-truck for an unknown reason. The two crashed near the intersection of Power Inn and Fruitridge roads.
Sedan and Tow-Truck Collide
A third vehicle then became involved in the incident. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the 21-year-old man driving the sedan died as a result of the collision.
A passenger in the car sustained unspecified injuries. The driver of the tow-truck survived with non-life-threatening injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel took both patients to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Power Inn and Fruitridge roads to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
