Car Racing on Highway 50 Ends in Deadly Accident
Sacramento, CA (May 28, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 50, the Sacramento Bee News reported.
Officials said a 2013 Infiniti and a white sedan were spotted racing westbound on US-50 Wednesday evening. According to the article published online, the two vehicles traveled in and out of traffic until they reached the area near Jefferson Boulevard. Our sources indicated the driver of the Infiniti failed to safely negotiate a lane change. Subsequently, the Infiniti slammed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. The car ended up lodged underneath the trailer.

Shortly after 7 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the driver of the Infiniti unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the motorist sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the driver of the white sedan.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Highway 50 in Sacramento.
