Passenger Killed in Wrong-Way Collision on Highway 99 Thursday
Sacramento, CA (September 16, 2021) – One person died following suspected DUI car crash that occurred on Highway 99 Thursday.
The KCRA3 News reported Elk Grove police were pursuing a stolen car traveling on Calvine Road, just east of Power Inn Road. In an attempt to evade the officers, the suspect drove onto southbound Highway 99 going the wrong way. For this reason, the Elk Grove police called off their chase.
Shortly after 2:40 a.m., the stolen gold Honda Accord collided head-on into a car. Preliminary investigation revealed thus horrible crash took place at the Stockton Boulevard onramp.

Our sources confirmed the innocent driver sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, authorities said a male passenger in the stolen vehicle sadly died as a result of the accident. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The article published online mentioned the suspect driving the stolen Honda survived the collision with major injuries. Investigators believed the man was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the unfortunate event.
