SACRAMENTO (September 12, 2016)- According to KCRA, a fatal car crash resulted in the death of one and injuries to three others Sunday afternoon on Watt Avenue.
At roughly 10 p.m., a 50-year-old man identified as William Byerley had been driving a Chevy 1500 headed southbound on Watt Avenue. Byerley’s vehicle suffered a flat tire and veered into northbound lanes directly into a Ford Explorer.
Three motorists inside the Ford were seriously injured and transported to several different hospitals. One man sustained a broken leg and a woman complained of bodily pains as they were both taken to UC Davis Medical Center.
A teenager was also in the Ford who was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with a spinal injury.
The three injured parties have not been named at this time.
The collision resulted in the death of the 50-year-old Byerley as he was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police officials believe that Byerley may have been under the influence, the article added.
