1 Killed, 1 Badly Injured in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 5 Near Arena Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 16, 2021) – A crash killed a motorcyclist and badly injured a driver on the Interstate 5 near Arena Boulevard in Sacramento.
According to the FOX 40 News and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a Scion struck the rear of a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the northbound Interstate 5 in Sacramento. The two crashed, just south of Arena Boulevard.
The 25-year-old Rancho Cordova man riding the bike ended up ejected as a result of the collision. A big rig approached and then ran over the victim.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. Officers added that the driver of the Scion sustained moderate injuries due to the impact.
Medical personnel took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced multiple lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Arena following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
