Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento Crash at Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 17, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash near Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive in Sacramento.
According to an article published by the KCRA News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 1 p.m.
Sacramento police said the motorcycle rider and a truck collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed near the intersection of Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive.
Motorcycle and Truck Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the rider lying on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the truck stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. The cause of the fatal Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
Authorities forced the area of Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive to shut down for a time following the wreck.
