Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash at 8th and P Streets
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 4, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian at 8th and P streets in the city of Sacramento.
According to The Sacramento Bee and KCRA News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on April 4 shortly after 1:40 p.m.
Police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in downtown Sacramento. The driver hit the person at the intersection of 8th and P streets.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived and found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of 8th and P streets to shut down for several hours after the incident.
The cause of the fatal Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
