Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash Near Elsie Avenue and Stockton Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Elsie Avenue and Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:25 p.m.
The incident happened on August 10 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The driver hit the person on eastbound Elsie Avenue near the intersection with Stockton Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 99. They found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then confirmed that the person died. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. The cause of the fatal Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the area of Elsie Avenue and Stockton Boulevard to shut down for a time following the collision.
