Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash Near Jibboom and Railyards
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 13, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Jibboom Street and Railyards Boulevard in Sacramento.
According to the ABC 10 News and KCRA News, the tragic accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the collision at around 10 p.m.
Sacramento police said the incident happened on August 12 when a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city.
Man Hit by Car
The vehicle hit him near the intersection of Jibboom Street and Railyards Boulevard. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the man down on the ground.
He sustained serious injuries injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel soon rushed the patient to a hospital, where he died.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that they called the driver involved in the incident.
Officers forced the area of Jibboom and Railyards to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the fatal Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
